Heaven Hear Me Now

Heaven Hear me now

Heaven hear me now.
As cacophony of symphonies brews in my weary heart.
Kindly hearken to the silent screams
of my drowsy soul, as I stand at the edge of time.

I’m lost without a cause.
After giving it my all
After all I’ve been through
Who else do I turn to?

Life promised me, Eden
Perdition was what it offered
After all, promises are just empty words.

I gave in to the lascivious fascinations of my heart.
Just to be paid in kind with tales,
Tales of vanity propagated by
shrewd orators to convince , entertainers to engross, sex symbols to seduce and athletes to tickle our fantasies.
Unbeknownst to me, they were all fables.

They asked me
Will your anchor hold
When hit by the storms
Of life. ?

I said yes.
Oblivious of the fact that,
It takes more than words of
affirmations to
hold still the currents of the stormy waves of life.

I gave it my all,
I laboured, I toiled but life paid my efforts in futility.
I’m now slithering
Slowly,
Searching for that open door
To finally liberate my lonesome soul.

As my walls keep stumbling down,
As my world closes in on me,
As all my strength grows stale,
As I stand at the edge of time,
I whisper these four words

Heaven hear me now.
